Love on a Leash®

The Greenville chapter was founded in January 2017. The chapter coordinates multiple group visits each month at Windsor Rehab, Brookdale Senior Living, and various public libraries as well as participating in community events when invited. Our chapter members are spread out, so most members also visit sites near their homes independently. We meet quarterly at someone’s home or at a local restaurant that allows us to bring our pets.

Meet Our Leader

Peggy Gooch has been certified with her German Shepherd Arlo since 2016 and has been the Greenville chapter leader since January 1, 2018. Peggy and Arlo live in Greenville and when she isn’t volunteering with Love on a Leash, Peggy is an amateur radio operator (KB5JUW). Peggy and Arlo have been involved with Victim's Relief Ministry and Crisis Response Ministry and currently volunteer with the Visiting Nurses association as well. Arlo is a R.E.A.D. Education Assistance dog and has his AKC therapy dog excellence certificate.
