Love on a Leash®

The Clearfield chapter was founded in April 2024 and is currently the only chapter in Pennsylvania; we look forward to growing our presence in the area. We currently have regularly-scheduled visits at nursing homes and welcome visits to schools, libraries, and hospitals in Clearfield and the surrounding towns. Members also visit various facilities independently and we are happy to participate in community events; we take advantage of any opportunity to share our pets!

Meet Our Leader

Mary Jo Turner has been certified with her Goldendoodle, Rosie since 2022 and founded the Clearfield Chapter in April 2024. She is working now with Quinn the Doodle to become a certified Love on a Leash therapy dog. Mary Jo works from home in customer service for a large construction company and when she is not working or volunteering with Love on a Leash, she enjoys crafting, reading and spending time with her family. Mary Jo’s favorite part about volunteering with Love on a Leash is not only seeing the therapeutic benefits for the people we serve but also the benefits afforded the volunteers.
