Love on a Leash®

The Fayetteville chapter was founded in September 2012. The chapter coordinates multiple group visits each month at senior living facilities, hospitals, schools and libraries in Fayetteville and the surrounding towns; many members visit additional sites independently. We also participate in community events and take advantage of any opportunity to share our pets.

Meet Our Leader

Jeanne Lythgoe has been the Fayetteville chapter leader since April of 2016. She lives in Fayetteville and was certified with Gracie the St. Bernard who crossed the rainbow bridge in August 2021; she is currently training her two rescued St. Bernards, Bette Davis and Fred, and plans to become certified with them when they are ready. Jeanne works in healthcare and when she is not working or volunteering with Love on a Leash, she enjoys crafting. Her favorite part about volunteering with Love on a Leash is seeing the therapeutic benefits for the volunteers and those we serve.
