Rockwall/Royse City

Love on a Leash®

The Rockwall/Royse City chapter was founded in September 2012. Chapter members visit senior assisted living facilities, independent living homes, schools, the Rockwall Boys & Girls Club, libraries, and social events in our communities. Chapter members live in 5 surrounding counties and meet quarterly to discuss business and enjoy social visits with our dogs. Chapter activities are posted on our Facebook page and reminder texts are sent to members before each event. Ongoing training is offered to keep teams’ therapy skills sharp; of course it is completely voluntary and free of charge.

Wendy & Jacque

Meet Our Leader

Wendy and Jacque are one of the many dedicated teams behind the Rockwall–Royse City Love on a Leash® chapter, bringing passion, purpose, and plenty of tail wags to our community. As devoted pet therapy advocates, they help connect certified therapy teams with opportunities to share unconditional love and comfort in local schools, libraries, hospitals, and care facilities. With a shared love for animals and a strong belief in the healing power of the human–animal bond, Wendy and Jacque work together to support our growing group of volunteers. Whether guiding new members through certification, coordinating visits, or simply offering encouragement, they lead with compassion and commitment. Their goal? To help create a welcoming space where people and pets can make a difference—one visit, one smile, and one paw at a time.
