Love on a Leash®

The Rockwall/Royse City chapter was founded in September 2012. Chapter members visit senior assisted living facilities, independent living homes, schools, the Rockwall Boys & Girls Club, libraries, and social events in our communities. Chapter members live in 5 surrounding counties and meet quarterly to discuss business and enjoy social visits with our dogs. Chapter activities are posted on our Facebook page and reminder texts are sent to members before each event. Ongoing training is offered to keep teams’ therapy skills sharp; of course it is completely voluntary and free of charge.

Meet Our Leader

J. Paul Sides lives near Greenville, Texas. He became a certified Love on a Leash therapy team with his Australian Shepherd mix Cash in 2019. J. Paul especially enjoys visiting elderly care and assisted living facilities but also loves participating in the children's reading program at local libraries. J. Paul is a retired IT manager for a large defense contractor. His hobbies include playing billiards and fishing. His favorite part about volunteering with Love on a Leash is seeing the joy on the faces of the elderly as they pet and talk to Cash.
