Kathy with Obi Wan & Maggie

Meet Our Leader

Kathy Mindel lives on Signal Mountain with her husband Chuck and 4 dogs. Kathy became a certified Love on a Leash therapy team with her Border Collie Maggie in 2018; she certified with Obi Wan in 2021 and became chapter leader in June of 2019. Kathy's husband Chuck is also certified with Maggie, and they enjoy going on visits together. Kathy especially enjoys visiting schools but also loves visiting staff and patients in hospitals. Kathy is retired from Hamilton County Schools and enjoys spending time with her 2 children, 5 Granddaughters and her 4 dogs. Kathy's favorite part about volunteering with Love on a Leash is being able to put smiles on people’s faces!
