Love on a Leash®

The Sheboygan-Manitowoc chapter of Love on a Leash® was founded in April of 2018. We have regularly scheduled visits at over a dozen facilities, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, medical offices, schools and libraries from Two Rivers to Sheboygan to Cedar Grove to Plymouth and Appleton. We always welcome invitations to visit local nursing homes, hospitals, libraries, and schools; we also attend events such as college finals and even employer job fairs each year. Chapter members visit independently as well as participating in group visits.

Meet Our Leader

Char Pachniak became a Love on a Leash pet therapy team with her Teddy Bear, Faith in 2017. Char is a mentor to youth; when she is not volunteering with Love on a Leash, she enjoys reading a wide range of educational, motivational, spiritual books. Char loves many types of visits; she has a special connection and shows teens how to open up to other generations in some visits and Faith loves working with ALL ages, toddlers learning to read, to grandparents that have lost their families. Char's favorite part about volunteering with Love on a Leash is watching that special communication that a therapy dog opens up in everyone they meet.
