Love on a Leash®

The Silicon Valley chapter was founded in November of 2016. The chapter coordinates multiple group visits in Santa Clara and the surrounding area at senior living facilities, schools, libraries, and the San Jose Airport. Many members visit additional sites independently as well. We also enjoy marching in local parades and welcome any opportunity to share our sweet pets in the communities we live in.

Meet Our Leader

Susan Day has been the Silicon Valley chapter leader since October of 2019; when she is not volunteering with Love on a Leash, Susan enjoys baking and gardening. She first certified with Wyatt the Australian Cattle Dog in 2017; he crossed the rainbow bridge in 2023. Susan lives in Pleasanton with her husband Steve and became certified with Theo the cat in December 2023. Susan's favorite part about volunteering with Love on a Leash is seeing the joy on people’s faces when they see our pets; people seem especially thrilled to see how Theo handles all the love!
