Love on a Leash®

The Yakima Valley Love on a Leash chapter was founded in March 2012. The chapter coordinates multiple group visits each month at Senior Living, Hospice and Palliative Care Facilities, Schools, Parades, and anywhere else LOAL is invited in Yakima and the surrounding towns and counties; many members visit additional sites independently. We also host periodic member socials and participate in community events; we especially love spending time in schools.

Meet Our Leader

Sandi Riley has been the Yakima Valley Love on a Leash chapter leader since its inception. Sandi lives in Yakima with her child and 4 dogs and is currently certified with Oz the Cane Corso; she was previously certified with another dog. Sandi is a Fiscal Specialist Supervisor and dog trainer and when she is not volunteering with Love on a Leash, she enjoys reading, camping and traveling. Her favorite part about volunteering with Love on a Leash is meeting people and helping kids, especially those with special needs.
